Since the birth of the Church, there have been people who have tried to spread false teachings about what it means to be the people of God. Paul considered these hollow and deceptive.
That's why Paul wants to warn Christians to be careful not to be deceived, but to believe that which is written in the Word of God. That which is true. To stand firm on the simple truths of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now this is important, because we live in a world that tries to water down the Gospel, (even in many churches, the word of God is being compromised), people are willing to except a lie and the spreading of false teaching then to believe the truth. But being aware of this is not enough. You and I have to make a choice to stand firm on the Truth of the Gospel.
The deception of this world can be very enticing. However, they will not provide us with the abundant life Christ came to bring.
As Christian's we need to get into a rhythm of standing firm on the Gospel message. That way when you hear something deceptive or false, you will be able to recognize it.
This is why I want to begin this short series called, “Collide.” Since the beginning, the Christian faith has been on a collision course with the culture around us.
The values of the world do not align with the values of our faith.
The priorities of the world do not align with the priorities of our faith.
The kingdom of man is not seeking the same things as the kingdom of God.
Therefore, we shouldn’t be surprised when we experience conflict and tension. Instead, we should see the conflict and tension as confirmation that we are doing the right thing.
So we hope you can join us this week as we start this exciting new series that will encourage and uplift you!
Is it possible that good things can come out of our broken dreams?
Worship leader and recording artist Laura Story’s life took an unexpected turn when her husband, Martin, was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Their lives would never be the same.
Yes, with God all things are possible. But the devastating news was that no cure existed to restore Martin’s short-term memory, eyesight, and other complications. The fairy-tale life Laura had dreamed of was no longer possible. And yet in struggling with God about how to live with broken dreams, Laura has found joy and a deeper intimacy with Jesus.
In When God Doesn’t Fix It, Laura helps us understand that:
God may not fix everything. In fact, although your situation might not ever change or get better, with Jesus you can. Not because of your faith, but because of the faithfulness of God.

God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan
*We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
*We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
*We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
*We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but that relationship was broken through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
*We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
*We believe all Christians should live in obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, desiring to become more like Jesus.
*We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
As Pastor of Faith Assembly of God,
I want to make these things my objective:
• To become a New Testament Church
• To be a church that experiences God's presence, through the power of the Holy Spirit
• To be a church that experiences signs and wonders and miracles
• That each sermon is biblically correct
• To emphasize God’s truth with a relevant application
• To present God’s Word in a clear and understandable manner
I see every person as having potential in God’s kingdom. As a church I believe it’s important to create an exciting atmosphere where everyone can respond to God’s amazing grace and love.

Beginning Jan. 8, 2020 we will begin a study on the "Tabernacle of God." But why is it important for us today to understand the tabernacle? Why study the outer court, the courtyard fence, The gate of the court, the brazen altar, the holy place, the golden lampstand? What does all this mean? Come join us on Wednesday evenings as we discover God's Word together.

This "Statement of Fundamental Truths" contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these, Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church's core mission of reaching the world for Christ.
