Title: America at 250: Remembering Our Roots, Renewing Our Commitment
Scripture: Psalm 33:12 – “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord, the people He chose for His inheritance.”
On Saturday July 4, 2026 we will celebrated the 250th birthday of America. The United States of America officially declared its independence from Great Britain on July 4, 1776, when the Second Continental Congress adopted the Declaration of Independence in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Formally announcing that the thirteen colonies were no longer subject to British rule and were now united, free, and independent states.
Although the Congress voted for independence on July 2, the adoption of the Declaration on July 4 is commemorated as the nation’s birthday.
What an amazing accomplishment. 250 years ago, a group of ordinary men and women dared to believe in something extraordinary.
They had no guarantee of success—only a conviction that freedom was worth the risk. 56 men signed the Declaration of Independence.
These signers represented a unified commitment to America’s independence. By signing their names, they understood it could cost them their lives.
I love America. I feel blessed and proud to be an American. But there are two questions that comes to my mind.
1. What does the future of America look like?
2. Is the culture influencing Christians away from true faith?
These are the questions I hope to answer. So, we hope you can join us this week as we celebrate America's Birthday.

What We Believe
*We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
*We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
*We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
*We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but that relationship was broken through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
*We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
*We believe all Christians should live in obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, desiring to become more like Jesus.
*We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
