Series Title: Harvest
Part 1: Preparing the Soil
It’s hard to believe that summer is over and we are now in the fall or harvest season.
The beauty of this season is that it brings a stunning transformation to nature as the green leaves turn vibrant shades of red, orange, and gold.
Then there is the crisp air, cozy weather, and the harvesting of the different fruits.
The harvesting that takes place is the part you and I see, the visible part, but that’s only one part of the story. Growth is shaped by what happens beneath the soil.
The same can be said about one’s spiritual growth. Jesus talked about this in Matthew 13:3-23, where different types of soil represent different responses to the word of God. The “good ground” symbolizes a heart that receives God’s word, understands it, and produces a fruitful life.
So, over the next four weeks, we’re going to walk through a series called, “Harvest.” The idea behind this series is simple: the harvest is never accidental. Every field produces what has been planted, cultivated, and faithfully tended to over time.
So, we hope you can join us as we dig deeper into God's Word.
We invite you to worship with us this Sunday at 11:00am. Come and experience the peace that only God’s presence can provide, along with a message that will inspire and encourage your faith journey. We can’t wait to see you!
Attending a Sunday service is more than just a tradition; it’s a meaningful way to nurture your spiritual growth and strengthen your connection with God and others. It offers a chance to reflect on your faith, find comfort in community, and start the week with renewed purpose.
What We Believe
*We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
*We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
*We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
*We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but that relationship was broken through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
*We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
*We believe all Christians should live in obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, desiring to become more like Jesus.
*We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
