I'll be starting a 6 week Bible Study titled, "John: Life in His Name."
Let me ask you this: WHERE DO YOU PUT YOUR TRUST?
We all believe in something. We all put our faith in what we trust will sustain us and help us move ahead. For some of us, that might be a relationship or a job. For others, it could be an education, a financial portfolio, or a political platform. But the disciple John, in his Gospel, invites us to put our belief in something much more secure. As he states, “These things [in my Gospel] are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name” (John 20:31).
In this six-session video Bible study, bestselling author and pastor Kyle Idleman reveals that John didn’t write his Gospel just to tell us about a profound teacher or a powerful miracle worker.
Rather, his purpose was to tell us about the very Son of God who came to this earth so that we “may have life, and have it to the full” (John 10:10). John challenges us to trust in Christ—and to demonstrate our faith in him through the way we live and love others.
The 40 Days Through the Book series will help you actively engage with God’s Word. Each study encourages you to read through a book of the Bible at least once during the course of the study. As you do, you will gain an understanding of the background and culture of the book, insights into key passages that you might have overlooked before, and clear takeaways that you can apply today to your life.
It's going to be a great study, so we hope you can come an be part of this study.
Friendly, Welcoming, Loving
Produces a heart that follows after God
God uses ordinary people to carry out His extraordinary plan
*We believe the entire Bible is the inspired Word of God and that men were moved by the Spirit of God to write the very words of Scripture. Therefore, we believe the Bible is without error.
*We believe in one God who exists in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
*We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became flesh to reveal God to humanity and to become the Savior of the lost world.
*We believe that all people were created in the image of God to have fellowship with him but that relationship was broken through sinful disobedience. As a result, people are incapable of regaining a right relationship with God through their own efforts.
*We believe that the blood of Jesus Christ, shed on the cross, provides the sole basis for the forgiveness of sin. Therefore, God freely offers salvation to those who place their faith in the death and resurrection of Christ as sufficient payment for their sin.
*We believe all Christians should live in obedience to the Word of God and daily yielding to the Spirit of God, desiring to become more like Jesus.
*We believe that the church is the body of Christ, of which Jesus Christ is the head. The members of the church are those who have trusted by faith the finished work of Christ. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by loving him and by making him known to the lost world.
As Pastor of Faith Assembly of God,
I want to make these things my objective:
• To be a church that leads people to Jesus Christ
• To be a church were people can experiences God's presence, through the power of the Holy Spirit
• To be a church that experiences signs and wonders and miracles

• To emphasize God’s truth with a relevant application
• To present God’s Word in a clear and understandable manner

This "Statement of Fundamental Truths" contains the 16 doctrines of the Assemblies of God. These are non-negotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. Four of these, Salvation, the Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Divine Healing, and the Second Coming of Christ are considered Cardinal Doctrines which are essential to the church's core mission of reaching the world for Christ.
